A chemical peel combines naturally occurring acids with powerful active ingredients to deeply exfoliate, tighten and brighten the skin. The chemicals are applied to the skin and penetrate deeply, stimulating new cell growth, collagen and elastin production. The skin will peel for around 3-5 days after (depending on the treatment), scraping away dead skin cells and revealing gorgeous glowing skin underneath. There are several different types of chemical peel, from light applications to deeper working options, and specific formulas to treat different skin types, break down scar tissue and manage common skin problems.

Microneedling isn’t painful as a numbing cream is used, but on the day of the treatment your skin will look different. Right after the treatment the treated areas will look red, and like you have a moderate sunburn. They will feel warm and slightly tight, but will settle down over the course of the day. By the next day you should only see some slight redness, and can go about your normal activities.

Waxing involves the removal of hair from the root, which may cause some discomfort. However, our experienced beauticians use high-quality wax and techniques to minimize discomfort. Over time, regular waxing can lead to reduced hair regrowth and a less painful experience.

For best results, we recommend that your hair is about a quarter of an inch (6mm) long before waxing. This allows the wax to grip the hair effectively and ensures a smoother removal process. If your hair is too short, the wax may not be able to grab onto it properly.

The frequency of waxing appointments depends on your individual hair growth and personal preference. Generally, waxing every 4 to 6 weeks is recommended for optimal results. Regular waxing can lead to finer and slower hair regrowth over time, making the process more comfortable and effective.

When applied properly, lash extensions don’t damage your natural lashes at all. The adhesives we use have been formulated and tested to prevent damage to your eyes and lashes, and the lashes themselves are lightweight and durable, so won’t weigh you down or snap your lashes. We do have to warn you not to try and remove your lash extensions at home though, as this will damage your lashes! Instead, come and see us for a proper removal.

Since your eyelashes are hair, they will grow, and your lash extensions will grow out with them. Not to mention that your lashes have an average lifespan of 90 days before they shed out! We recommend having lash infills done on a regular basis to keep them looking beautiful. The exact time between infills varies, but we generally recommend: – Classic extensions – every 1-3 weeks – Hybrid extension – every 2-3 weeks – Russian extensions – every 2-3 weeks

To keep your lashes looking their best, you do need to do a bit of maintenance. For the first 48 hours, you need to keep them completely dry and not let any water come into contact with them. This includes steaming your face, taking a steamy bath, swimming, washing your face with water and even opening a very hot oven while standing in front of it. You should also avoid sleeping facing your pillow, as this will cause the lashes to separate and bend. Sleeping in glasses is a good way to protect your lashes from damage. When showering, don’t let water get into your face and make sure the water isn’t steaming hot. Instead, we recommend you wash your face by wiping the area around your eyes carefully and using an oil-free makeup remover with an earbud to remove any make-up. We provide you with a brush to help separate the lashes each morning for proper effect.
